Zebra Heating Pads

Scented Zebra Heating Pads
I was having trouble coming up with a craft project because I was to focused on dealing with the pinched nerve on my neck. All my movements today were Robotic! My neck was not fully functional what-so-ever...so with that said, that inspired my craft project that was going to benefit me or someone else in my family at some point...Home-made heating pads!

I looked through my fabric scraps and found a zebra print. Filled a cup with uncooked rice, uncooked oatmeal, and several drops of eucalyptus scented oil. I mixed it up good. I cut and sewed two different sizes and shapes of the fabric. Left an opening to pour the filling into it, which I filled to about 3/4 of the pad. Then I hand stitched the opening and there you have it, my very own heating pad to place on my neck to relieve some pain. I put in the microwave for about 45 seconds. I could smell the eucalyptus and the warmth was very soothing to my Robotic neck...ahhhh, feels so good!

My husband now wants me to attempt to make him some "booties" to warm up his feet, not happening anytime soon buddy! These would be a great gift idea to place in a spa gift basket or better yet, I might just use this idea to use as my Christmas gifts to family members.

These were definitely easy to make and the scent is calming. I'll be busy making some of these for the holidays.
