I've used empty cereal boxes before for crafting since they're a great alternative to not having cardboard or card stock available. Or I'll just throw them in the recycling bin. I figured that this time I would actually use the printed side of the cereal box and create a bookmark for my daughter since she's reading chapter books now.
One of her favorite cereals, believe it or not, is just plain corn flakes. So I cut a portion of the box just enough to use the cereal picture and part of the "corn flakes" wording. I glued orange construction paper to the back of it & hole punched the top to insert crafting thread with a brown bead to just give it a final touch. Now, she has a bookmark made from her favorite cereal.
I also made one from my sons favorite cereal, Cocoa Pebbles, and did the same thing as I did with the Corn Flake bookmark. This is a very easy and Eco-friendly craft.

My daughter's new bookmark is being used on a book we're both reading together called Just Grace by Charise Mericle Harper.

Very creative and delicious looking... keep going!
