Soon-to-be Toothbrush Bracelet

I decided to attempt the Craft Toothbrush Bracelet over at Two Hearts Together. My first attempt didn't go so well. I was excited to see the turn-out but it was a flop.

I followed the instructions listed on how to make the toothbrush bracelet and the end result wasn't what I was expecting. It was tricky trying to bend the toothbrush while it was "soft", but I had to keep putting it back into the boiling water to soften it up more in order for me to keep bending it. That might be why my toothbrush bracelet ended like this:

The project itself sounded and looked easy to do but I had trouble with the bending part of the craft. Well, looks like I have to wait till there's an old plastic toothbrush I can use to redo this project. I'm not giving up...
